CYG 2011: A look at the Commonwealth Youth Games medal

ATHLETES from 63 Commonwealth nations are busy competing at the third day of the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games. 

 

All of the athletes are hoping to get their hands on a Commonwealth medal like the ones in these pictures. 

 

This year the medals feature the three legs of man and the name of the host nation. 

 

Australia are currently at the top of the medals table with nine gold medals, nine silver medals and six bronze medals. 

 

England are currently sitting in second place with nine gold medals, five silver medals and three bronze medals. 

 

Wales are currently in third place with two gold medals, three silver medals and three bronze medals. 

 

The Isle of Man has so far succeeded in obtaining one silver medal.
