CYG 2011: Australia leads medals table after Friday's events

by isleofman.com 10th September 2011

AUSTRALIA leads the medals table at the Commonwealth Youth Games going into today's (Saturday's) competition.

Yesterday they won nine gold medals, seven silver and six bronze medals.

England is in second place with seven gold medals, five silver and two bronze and Wales is in third with two gold medals, three silver and two bronze.

The Isle of Man has one medal so far - a silver won by Grant Halsall in the 200 metres men's backstroke swimming event.

There are still plenty of medals to be won over the next couple of days.
