TV footage from this year's Commonwealth Youth Games will be screened across the world.
The seven sporting events -athletics, badminton, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, rugby 7s and swimming - are being filmed by the Isle of Man company Greenlight TV.
A number of broadcasters including Setanta and Supersport in Africa, Sky TV New Zealand, TEN Sports in India, StarHub in Singapore, CBC Canada and SBS in Australia are taking footage for news programmes and special games highlight programmes.
Some BBC and ITV regions in the United Kingdom are also taking footage.
Footage will also be made available on the Commonwealth Youth Games 2011 YouTube channel which will screen daily half hour highlights programmes. There will also be a streamed live news feed of the swimming events and a delayed stream of the rugby 7s which is being facilitated by the event's telecommunications partner Manx Telecom.
Geoff Karran MBE, chairman of the Isle of Man Commonwealth Youth Games 2011 organising committee, said: "We are delighted that broadcasters worldwide are keen to feature the event and have also made the highlights programmes available on our own YouTube channel and the swimming and rugby on our website as we want as many friends and family to be able to follow the progress of their athletes on the Isle of Man. We are still happy to hear from any broadcasters who want footage."
Footage is being made available to broadcasters via ftp and BT Tower and any broadcasters interested in accessing the footage, or receiving the edited highlights programmes should contact Greenlight TV on 01624 611601 or e-mail aisling@greenlight.tv.
