Police appeal for help in Castlemona burglary case

POLICE have issued a photograph of five young people they want to speak to in connection with a burglary at the Manx Superbowl in the Castlemona Hotel, Douglas.

 

Thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused in the incident at the Central Promenade building.

 

It happened during race week at the TT but the photograph has just been issued by a police.

 

DC Dawn Lowe, who is leading the investigation, said: "This facility, which had been closed for some time, has been extensively damaged and the cost is estimated to run into several thousand pounds. 

 

"We want to speak to the five young people seen in the photograph we have released in connection with this matter.

 

"It is really important that they come forward to speak to us.

 

"It may be that a member of the public, or even a family member recognises them.

 

"Alternatively if any member of the public has any information about who has been involved in this, please contact us here at Headquarters CID on 631301.

 

"Information can also be left anonymously on the Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111."
