Posters advice for election candidates

Election posters on roadsides in the Isle of Man are not a problem, providing candidates abide by the rules.

An increasing number of signs and flyers are appearing as polling day, on September 29, draws closer.

Director of highways Richard Pearson says the normally strict rules are relaxed for elections (listen to audio file below):

Candidates are being asked to remove roadside election signs by Saturday, October 1.
