A THIRD rider has died in racing at the Manx Grand Prix with the loss of a 71 year old competitor from Scotland who crashed in today’s Classic race at Lambfell.
Adam Easton, from East Lothian, Scotland, died after the accident happened on the approach to the Cronk-y-Voddy straight.
Race organisers said Mr Easton was an experienced competitor who had been racing in the event since 1983. He was riding a Norton in today’s race.
Bill Bennett, chairman of the Manx Motorcycle Club, said: "Adam Easton was very much part of the MGP family.
"He was well liked by everyone in the paddock and one of the real characters involved with the event. He will be greatly missed."
Portadown rider Wayne Hamilton, 20, was killed on Monday in the Junior race at the 13th milestone near Kirk Michael while lying in third place.
Neil Kent, 48, from Lincolnshire - a previous MGP winner - was killed at Greeba Bridge during practice last week.
