by isleofman.com 30th August 2011

THOUSANDS of people flocked to the north of the Island this weekend to attend the Festival of Jurby.

The festival, which is run by the Isle of Man branch of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club, took place at Jurby Airfield on Sunday.

A number of classic bikes and cars were on display including the Moby Dick – a 1928 Brough Superior 1142cc SS100 motorcycle.

A selection of trophies, including the Senior TT and Supersport, were also on show.

Last year more than 10,000 people attended the Festival of Jurby. The final figures for this year's event are not yet known.
