Lifeboat rescue for Peel cruiser

by isleofman.com 27th August 2011

PEEL lifeboat was launched yesterday to assist a local 30 foot cruiser which had broken down 7.5 miles off the north west coast of the Isle of Man.

The vessel was on passage from Portpatrick in Ireland to Peel when the vessel ‘Blackjack’ broke down.

Peel lifeboat was launched in a freshening north west wind and the lifeboat coxswain Paul Cain managed to take the vessel in tow and return it and the 7-man crew safely to Peel.
