Motorist 'not guilty' after fatal accident trial

An Australian man has been cleared of causing death by dangerous driving.

Forty-two-year-old Craig William Waghorn was acquitted after a five-day trial at Douglas courthouse.

The jury returned its verdict shorlty before 3pm today (Friday).

Mr Waghorn was the driver of a car in a fatal collision on the main Douglas to Ballasalla road in June.

Ballasalla motorcyclist Robert Kneale lost his life in the incident.
