STEVE McCafferty has joined Simcocks Trust as an associate director.

He has more than 30 years experience in banking and has spent the last 11 years working in the Island.

During that time Steve has held senior positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland group and Barclays Wealth.

He said: "I am looking forward to working with Simcocks Trust and helping them build on their successes to date.

"I have been extremely impressed with the strength, breadth and depth of the Simcocks Trust offering and team's commitment and dedication to providing outstanding levels of service.

"In relation to capital markets whilst current conditions remain challenging I believe the Isle of Man and Simcocks Trust are extremely well placed to develop this aspect of their business and I will be very focused on developing new and existing relationships for the company."

David Karran, the managing director of Simcocks Trust, said: "We are delighted to welcome Steve. His calibre, wealth of experience and knowledge of the offshore financial services industry will be a great asset to the company in securing new business and developing relationships with our existing network of clients and professional intermediaries.

"Simcocks Trust has gained a strong reputation for providing excellent levels of service and Steve’s appointment is a significant step in the company’s strategic development. I am looking forward to working closely with Steve on a number of exciting initiatives in the future."
