Nomination Day approaches for budding MHKs

by isleofman.com 25th August 2011

TUESDAY (August 30) is Nomination Day for next month's general election.

Anyone who wants to stand as a candidate in the House of Keys election must deliver their nomination papers to their constituency returning officer between 10am and 1pm on that day.

The nomination process, times and access to nomination venues will not be affected by the Manx Grand Prix, a statement issued by the Isle of Man Government says.

In the event of Monday's Manx Grand Prix programme being postponed until Tuesday the TT course will not close before 2pm.

Potential candidates who have any queries about the nomination process should contact their constituency returning officer.

Further information about the election, which takes place on September 29, is available at www.gov.im/cso/election/
