by isleofman.com 25th August 2011

A WOMAN and two children were covered in glass yesterday (Wednesday) after an object was thrown at the taxi they were travelling in.

The silver Renault Traffic taxi was travelling up Broadway in Douglas towards the Victoria Road traffic lights at approximately 6.45pm.

It was in the right hand lane when the object was thrown at the near side rear window panel causing it to shatter. Although shocked the passengers were unhurt.

Police have said they want to speak to two young males, aged around 12 to 14, who were standing on a wall at the Glen Falcon Gardens at the time and appeared to flee the area immediately after the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Graham Corran on 01624 631212.
