'Lib Vans are free to express their own opinions'

by isleofman.com 24th August 2011

A Liberal Vannin candidate in next month's House of Keys general election says party politics shouldn't preclude candidates having their own thoughts.

Peter Hill, a former prosecution officer in the Metropolitan Police, is standing in the two-seat constituency of North Douglas.

Mr Hill, who is clerk to Lonan Commissioners and deputy clerk to the Laxey board, says the Liberal Vannin party isn't ruled with an iron fist (listen to audio file below):

There are three other candidates in North Douglas, Theo Fleurbaay and outgoing MHKs Bill Henderson and John Houghton.
