Another general election candidate has come forward in Peel.

Arran Kaighin, who runs a business in the town, is making his first venture into politics.

He says he has had enough of the way the Isle of Man has 'bowed down to every demand from the United Kingdom'

He also says the Manx government has been throwing away resources on what he calls 'wasteful projects', such as the major roadworks on Richmond Hill, Ramsey's Queen's Pier and the roundabout at Ballakillowey, between Port Erin and Colby.

Mr Kaighin, who lives in Douglas Street, Peel, says he will be visiting as many houses as possible in the five weeks leading up to polling day.

He is the fifth candidate to come forward in the constituency, and is contesting the single seat with outgoing MHK Tim Crookall, Leslie Hanson and local commissioners Rodger Gimbert and Raymond Harmer.
