Island needs 'strong opposition', says Lib Van man

by isleofman.com 22nd August 2011

A Liberal Vannin candidate in Onchan says there is a pressing need in the Isle of Man for an opposition to the government.

Zac Hall, a 33-year-old pilot, says he strongly supports the core belief of the party in a transparent and open, democratically elected parliamentary political system, which is independent of the executive.

He says the Island needs a strong opposition, or what he prefers to think of as 'a government in waiting' (listen to audio file below):

There are five other candidates in Onchan so far, outgoing MHKs Adrian Earnshaw, Peter Karran and David Quirk, and local commissioners June Kelly and Brian Stowell.
