Lloyd clinches title in Cumbria

by isleofman.com 22nd August 2011

Manxman Lloyd Taggart was crowned English fell running champion for 2011 at the weekend.

He secured the title by finishing second in the final round of the competition, at Sedbergh in Cumbria.

The series began in the spring, with the best four of six performances counting towards the final result.

Lloyd missed two rounds, but his efforts in the others were good enough to earn him the title.

Another competitor from the Isle of Man, Jackie Lee, won the ladies' race at the weekend, but didn't feature in the overall standings.
