THE driver of a stolen car crashed into a hedge and then abandoned the vehicle on tram lines.

Police are appealing for information after the car crashed near the Liverpool Arms pub in Onchan in the early hours of Friday morning.

The vehicle, a silver Lexus IS 200, had been travelling in the direction of Baldrine when it hit the grass hedge at around 1.30am.

It then continued a short distance before the driver abandoned it on the tram lines on Groudle Road.
