Police car in collision with motorcycle

A MARKED police car and a motorcycle were involved in a collision at Greeba this afternoon (Saturday).

 

It happened on the main Douglas to Ballacraine Road near to Cronk Breck at 12.50pm.


A black and white BMW R1200 motorcycle and a police Ford Mondeo, both travelling towards Ballacraine, were involved in the incident.

 

The rider and passenger from the motorcycle were taken to Noble's Hospital where their injuries are not believed to be serious.

 

The driver of the police vehicle was uninjured.

The road was closed for about two hours while police conducted inquiries at the scene.

Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have been travelling through the area at the time.

 

In particular they want to hear from the occupants of a blue Ford Focus that was travelling ahead of the police car.
