CIWF urges farmers to back abbatoir

An animal welfare group in the United Kingdom is calling on farmers in the Isle of Man to support the local meat plant.

Compassion in World Farming campaigns for an end to what it terms 'factory farming'.

Organisers of a petition calling for an end to the live export of animals from the Isle of Man say they were inspired by the group.

And CIWF's publicity director Joyce D'Silva says Manx farmers should back the abbatoir while it goes through a period of transition:
