THE classic motorcycle sports film Take it to the Limit will be screened from today (Saturday) for the Manx Grand Prix fortnight.
Made by the acclaimed documentary film maker Peter Starr, the film features Mike Hailwood's 1977 return to the Isle of Man as well as a host of other motorcycling legends of the 70s.
It contains speedway, scrambling, road racing, trials and hill climbing with on-bike footage - the highlight of which is Hailwood riding and commentating on a lap on a OW31 750 Yamaha during practice for the 1977 Manx Grand Prix, prior to his comeback victory in the 1978 Formula One TT.
Peter Starr has been very influential in bringing the film back to the Island.
Proceeds from the film's screenings - which take place at the Manx Museum Film Theatre in Douglas - will go towards his charity, the Prostate Cancer Education Foundation as well as The Manx Museum and National Trust.
The film will be screened at 11am and 3pm, Monday to Saturday, from today (Saturday, August 20) to September 2.
There is a suggested donation of £5 to see the film.
