Warning issued over railway trespassing

by isleofman.com 17th August 2011

THOSE that trespass on the railway lines around the Isle of Man will be "dealt with robustly".

Police have issued the warning following reports of people regularly using the Douglas railway tracks as a cut through from Pulrose to Douglas Quay.

A police spokesperson said: "Please be advised that the railway tracks can be a dangerous place, have regular trains running throughout the day and this area is prohibited to pedestrians."

Railway staff have been advised to report any incidents of trespassing to the police for action.
