Midnight walkers required for Hospice fundraiser

by isleofman.com 17th August 2011

HOSPICE Isle of Man is appealing for people to take part in this year's Midnight Walk.

The five mile event, which is in its second year, will take place on September 10.

Walkers will set off at 10.30pm from the Royal Skandia building at Port Jack and will finish at the Isle of Man Hospice in Braddan at 12.30am on September 11.

Mary Doyle, PR and marketing manager, said: "Last year over 350 walkers took part and we raised over £9,000 - so come on ladies let's make this walk bigger – grab your pink gear and get involved.

"Every penny raised for Hospice stays on the Island to help local people deal with life limiting or life threatening illnesses."

The entry fee for the Midnight Walk is £15 or £10 for students. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.hospice.org.im.
