THE Liberal Vannin Party has announced a candidate for Ramsey in next month's General Election.
Linda Bowers-Kasch, a current member of the Isle of Man Employment Tribunal and Institute of Directors, will stand for election on September 29.
She said: "The Isle of Man provided me with opportunities to succeed, grow and build skills and experience. It is now time to give back.
"Along with my commitment and passion for a great future for the Isle of Man I am significantly equipped to serve Ramsey and the Island well both at local and global levels.
"Frankly more of the same will only bring more of the same which won't be good enough for our future. We need to reduce financial waste, drive value for money plus increase our credibility and influence externally. Our younger community members must feel included, have opportunity to grow and flourish, well equipped to drive their own personal success."
Peter Karran, the leader of the Liberal Vannin Party, said: "I am delighted that someone who is an ex-vice president of Barclays Wealth, with the experience of leadership in managing change and who has engaged with financial service regulators and external agencies in a number of jurisdictions, should share the values of the Liberal Vannin Party as Linda does.
"Her experience of the global financial sector and working in the Isle of Man, together with creating a new business on the Island, will make her an invaluable member of the party and a very strong and motivated candidate for the voters of Ramsey to support."
