Local bikers who can spare half an hour this lunchtime (Tuesday) are being asked help fulfil the wishes of a lifelong TT and Manx Grand Prix fan.
Ray Hewitt from Preston visited the Island twice a year from 1953, almost without a break, riding a motorbike until five years ago.
He died in April at the age of 80.
Family and friends are here to scatter his ashes on Snaefell and have invited bikers to join them on his last trip.
Dave Andrea from the Moddey Dhoo Motorcycle Club says a biking farewell is just what he would have wanted (listen to audio file below):
Bikers interested in taking part in Ray's last trip are asked to meet at Laxey railway station at 1pm, for a ride out to the TT Grandstand, then up to the Bungalow.
