Rodan unhappy over scrapped Packet report

Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan says he is disappointed the Office of Fair Trading is abandoning an investigation into the Steam Packet Company.

Last week the OFT said its probe into charges would be dropped because of recent developments, which rendered research by consultants out-of-date.

Mr Rodan says he doesn't accept the report should be scrapped because it used old data, and the decision to abandon it means the Manx taxpayer has shelled out cash for nothing:
