by isleofman.com 13th August 2011

TWO fire crews from Douglas were called to a kitchen fire early this morning (Saturday).

Firefighters spent 30 minutes at a flat in Hampton Grove at 12.40am.

On arrival the firefighters found a heavily smoke logged building which had been caused by an unattended pan left on a stove.

The pan was removed and the property, which had suffered slight smoke damage, was vented.
