'Friends' save money by car sharing

A life assurance firm in the south of the Island staged a 'green travel' day today (Friday) to encourage staff to find enviromentally friendly ways to get to work.

Friends Provident International is introducing a new car-share scheme, and employees from the same towns have been networking and planning journeys.

Bus Vannin has been answering questions on the bus service, and bike company Eurocycles has been giving advice on cycling to the office.

Gareth McMullan from the Global Contact Team says it's highlighted how car-sharing can save money and energy:
