Health and safety powers must be used 'sensibly'

The Isle of Man's new head of health and safety in the workplace says 'common sense must be applied' in his area of responsibility.

Bernard Warden, who took up the role a month ago, admits health and safety has been subject to ridicule in the media in some quarters.

But he says the overall aim, of keeping people safe at work, mustn't be lost:
