Manx golfer Kevin Moore has won the prestigious Eden Trophy at St Andrews.

He has beaten Mark Yeomans of the Millbrook Club, 4 up with 2 to play, at the 'home of Golf'.

In his semi-final this morning (Friday) the Douglas player beat Robbie McLeod of Elderslie, 3 up with 2 holes remaining.

The Eden Trophy was first played for in 1919 and is seen as one of the blue riband events in Amateur Golf.

Yesterday, Kevin Moore beat the other Isle of Man player in the tournament Paul McMullan by a 2 & 1 margin.
