New art exhibition at Erin Arts Centre

by isleofman.com 12th August 2011

AN art exhibition by local artist Faye Halsall is currently on display at the Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin.

Percussions of Colour, which is presented by ArtworkX of Mann, will run until September 2.

Faye completed her first degree in fashion and textiles in 1996 at De Montfort University before going on to work in Nottingham as an interior designer.

As an artist Faye initially worked in watercolors but changed to oil pastel so that she could work with a better degree of colour and intensity.

Faye is currently a member of the Isle of Man Arts Society and has contributed to exhibitions both on and off the Island.

The Artworkx of Mann website says about Faye: "Her unique artistic style has sparked much interest of late.

"We believe she could soon be one of the rising stars of the arts and crafts movement currently increasing on the Island and within the British Isles generally."
