The Manx government has hit back at a union claim that job losses will lead to increased costs.
Union leader Steve Salter says redundancy payments and severance packages following the closure of 22 government positions would total ?1 million.
However, Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure David Cretney says the potential future savings are much greater than the costs:
