by isleofman.com 10th August 2011

THE head of science, policy and research for Friends of the Earth in the UK will give a presentation at the Keyll Daree lecture theatre in Braddan tomorrow (Thursday).

Mike Childs is being brought to the Island by Isle of Man Friends of the Earth and he will raise awareness of climate change, energy issues and future planning for the Island.

A spokesman said: "There will be time for questions too. We hope this will stimulate and inform local debate on the responses that the Isle of Man will need to have and on the undoubtedly sizeable and immediate challenges its government and people face."

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start.

The Keyll Darree building is adjacent to the main entrance at Noble's Hospital.
