by isleofman.com 10th August 2011

TWO mountain bikes have been stolen from a private car park in Douglas.

A black men's 'Manter' bike and a navy blue and fluorescent yellow ladies' mountain bike were stolen from the Hilary Wharf apartments on South Quay between 1.30pm and 11pm on Sunday.

PC Damien Cullivan, who is investigating the incident, said: "We would urge anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of the apartments between these times, or who may now know the whereabouts of the bikes, to contact the police to help with the enquiries.

"We would also like to use this opportunity to remind owners to secure any items such as bikes in order to minimise or prevent such incidents."

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Cullivan at Lord Street Police Station on 01624 631212.
