Island insurance company forms marine and aviation department

by isleofman.com 9th August 2011

ROSSBOROUGH Insurance has announced that it has formed a new marine and aviation department.

The department will be headed up by Richard Hulme who joined the company in March.

Tim Rattray, managing director, said: "The Isle of Man has developed a superb international reputation for both its ship and aircraft registries and we are responding to the resulting need for a strong local insurance offering.

"While we intend to grow this side of our business we want to do so steadily and responsibly. We don’t want to win a lot of new business only for our service levels to drop because it isn’t sustainable. Personal, responsive service is our primary goal."

Richard added: "Our new focus on yachts and aircraft is designed to complement existing services by ensuring that both corporate/trust service providers and high net worth individuals can come to us to receive a truly comprehensive solution which will cover all of their various liabilities and asset classes.

"While we are placing a new focus on these services it is also important to note that we aren't new to providing them. Our contacts and terms of business in this area are already well established and we have the experience necessary to tailor bespoke solutions for each client's needs."
