Extra bus services for the Royal Agricultural Show

by isleofman.com 9th August 2011

EXTRA buses will operate on Saturday to transport people to the Royal Agricultural Show in Knockaloe.

Show organisers, Bus Vannin and the police have organised the extra services in order to encourage more visitors to the show and to reduce congestion around the area.

An extra 7A service will run every 30 minutes between St Johns and Patrick and includes two direct buses from Douglas (Shelter A in Lord Street) at 9.45am and 11am. Direct return journeys from Knockaloe will depart at 4.10pm and 5.55pm.

The adult fare from Douglas to Patrick is £2.50 one way or £4.50 return. Through fares are available from Ramsey, Douglas and Peel – even when passengers have to change at St Johns.

The 4 and 7A service will depart from St Johns, opposite the Tywnald Hill Inn, throughout the day. However the 10.19am and 11.25am services will depart St Johns from the lay-by beside the Bunscoill.
