Junction to close for essential gas work

by isleofman.com 5th August 2011

THE junction of Princes Road and Marathon Road in Douglas will be closed for several days while essential gas main renewal work is carried out.

It will be shut between 6am on Monday (August 8) and 6am on Saturday (August 13).

Manx Gas spokesman Andy Bainton said: "These works are being carried out as part of a programme to replace the older gas mains with new polyethylene pipes that will last for another 100 years.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this work may cause and if there are any queries regarding the closure please contact our supervisor for the work on 644428 or 644425."
