VITAL medical bags required for doctors, paramedics and physiotherapists to use at the Commonwealth Youth Games have been donated this week by the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust.
The qualified medical professionals will be in attendance throughout the Games in September and need to fully equipped to deal with the sort of injuries to be expected at a major athletics sports event.
Dr Frank Vaughan, the Chief Medical Officer for the Games, said, “For any major international event it is necessary to provide a team of qualified doctors and paramedics to be present at each sporting venue and so able to provide immediate medical care if required.
“We are fortunate to be able to secure the assistance of a great team of volunteer personnel and with the donation of equipment by the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust a first class medical service will be provided.”
Larry Keenan, the chairman of the henry Bloom Noble Trustees, added, “We are delighted to be helping in the organisation of these prestigious games and so ensuring that all athletes and team officials can receive a high standard of medical care during their visit.”
