Manx bowl Danish out in 38 overs

by isleofman.com 2nd August 2011

The Isle of Man have bowled Denmark out for 141 in the final of the under 19 Cricket Championships.

The Manx bowlers took 38 overs to get Denmark out, Alex Stokoe took three, Dan Hawke, Seb Aycock and Shaun Kelly two apiece and Matty Ansell one.

It was an impressive performance from the Manx who gave the Danish a good run for their money.

In the group stage against Belgium, the tournament favourites piled the runs on to close their innings on 302 for eight.

The Manx batsmen got off to a poor start with Jack Rowlands out LBW for a duck on the second ball.
