Bay Festival organisers urged to cooperate with OFT

Please talk to us – that’s the plea from the Office of Fair Trading as it tries to get to the bottom of how Bay Festival ticket holders will be refunded.

When the festival was cancelled in May, organiser Jonathan Irving said July 29 (Friday) would be the deadline for people to get their money back.

However, on Thursday, he said there were unforeseen difficulties which meant the refunds would take longer than first thought.

OFT chairman Bill Henderson says it’s been a difficult situation for his organisation:
