Lockley takes North Barrule triumph

Oliver Lockley secured a first ever open race win in Saturday’s North Barrule Fell Race.

He took the title in a record entry of 50.

Gloucestershire based runner Andrew Kaighin, back in the Island and staying with Manx family, sealed a fine second place and third spot went to Peter Bradley.

Gail Griffiths was the winner of the women’s race ahead of Rebecca Wallace and Rose Craine – all three competitors beating the previous ladies’ record.
