The Isle of Man shouldn’t follow UK and European legislation blindly.

That view from a businessman who has lived in the Isle of Man for over 20 years and is contesting the single seat in Ayre in September's General Election.

Andrew Newington-Bridges is a former member of Arbory Commissioners and a past chairman of the Isle of Man Municipal Association.

He believes we too often follow governments elsewhere instead of focusing on the Island’s own needs.
