'Island needs coach company' claim

by isleofman.com 30th July 2011

The boss of a threatened Island business says the Isle of Man should not be without a coach company.

Roy Lightfoot was speaking after Protours - the Island’s only coach firm - issued redundancy notices to all 15 of its staff.

It's cited the loss of a number of school contracts to government-run Bus Vannan as the major factor.

Mr Lightfoot believes the Island needs the service it offers.
