Contingency needed for VAT

An MHK bidding for a fourth term of office says there’s no guarantee the United Kingdom government won’t ask the Manx government for more money.

Earlier this month, it was announced the Isle of Man would lose another ?75 million from the renegotiated VAT agreement.

East Douglas MHK Brenda Cannell says the Manx government has reacted slowly to changes to the arrangement in recent years when it should have had a contingency in place.
