Island smash Germany at ICC champs

Host nation the Isle of Man have made it two wins out of two at the ICC Under-19 European Division Two Championship.

They secured a crushing victory over Germany at Tromode today.

Batting first, the Island finished on 215-8, thanks to a flurry of runs at the end, some 51 being added in the last five overs.

Captain Dan Hawke then tore into the German attack, finishing with four wickets as they were skittled out for 42 off 23 overs.

Hawke was ably supported by Alex Stokoe, who picked up two wickets.
