Heritage talks to take place in church

MANX National Heritage will be running a short series of free summer heritage talks at the Promenade Church in Douglas next month.

 

The talks at the church have been running for a number of years and are popular with tourists and residents.

 

They will take place at 7.45pm every Monday in August. Refreshments will be served following the talks.

 

Talk schedule

 

August 1: Introducing the Manx photographic collections with Wendy Thirkettle

 

August 8: Holiday Island with Katie King

 

August 15: Manx quilts and samplers with Yvonne Creswell

 

August 22: Exploring Tynwald with Hannah Gerrard

 

August 29: Manx miscellany with Frank Cowin
