AN Isle of Man-based IT company has taken on nine new members of staff and expects to expand further in the near future.
Intelligence Limited is owned by Manx residents Steve Woodford and John Webster and was formed in 2002.
HR manager Gemma Woodford said: "At a time when the economic outlook is bleak and there are frequent reports of redundancies, it is a pleasure for me to announce that Intelligence has just recruited nine experienced and talented new members of staff.
"Very positive market reaction to our new range of products and services, particularly CRM and Cloud Computing, has created opportunities for us to employ these key specialist staff.
"Also, we welcome being involved with an exciting initiative to support Manx students studying at local schools, colleges and gap year placements at universities."
The new additions to the business are international business development executive Stephanie McSwiney, project managers Dean Penman, Oran Dykes and Liz Maddrell, technical and product development staff Isabel Machado Williams and Leon Triggs and Manx students on the company's placement and experience initiative Ethan Moore, Jordan Maddrell and Rosie Bird.
Chief operating officer Chris Davies added: "We anticipate further expansion during the next quarter to meet with our growing demand for emerging technologies."
