?7000 raised at Tin Bath Championships

Nick Cain was victorious in this year's World Tin Bath Championships held in Castletown yesterday (Sat)

Second Steve Caine with Alvin Rogers third. The men's team prize was won by Equium Trust Company with Nick and Steve again along with Steve Ormond-Smith.

There was a new world champion in the ladies event. Greta Cowen took the crown with Erica Cowen coming in second and Rachel Kelly third. The men and ladies team prize was won by the Inn Crowd.

Best turned out bath on the day was Steve Babb..

Ramsey rowers are now the Isle of Man National Snake Race champions with runners up Tholty Dippers. The best flying attempt was by David Walton and the veterans race was won by Steve Cain . . with Alvin Rogers and Roy Harding coming in second and third.

The event raised ?7,000 for local charities.
