Teddy bears' picnics at wildlife park

by isleofman.com 23rd July 2011

The Curraghs Wildlife Park in Ballaugh is hosting two teddy bears' picnics this summer.

The first one is on Thursday (July 28) and every child bringing their teddy bear to visit the park that day will receive a voucher for a free ice cream from the park's cafe.

The second teddy bears' picnic will be on Thursday, August 25.

Oliver the Bear (pictured) likes chocolate ice cream best, a Wildlife Park spokesperson said.

Park duty manager Tina Jauncey said: "It took me ages to find out what flavour is Oliver's favourite! He will be back on Thursday for another ice cream and he looks forward to meeting lots of other much-loved teddies being brought to see our animals and entitling their owners to a free ice cream cone."

The voucher for a free ice cream applies only on July 28 and August 25 for children accompanied by their teddy bear. The free ice cream is for a one scoop cone of selected flavours.

The Wildlife Park is open daily until the end of October from 10am until 6pm.
