LIVE music and dancing is permitted at the new restaurant at Bradda Glen after magistrates approved the restaurants application for a full restaurant licence.
This means the restaurant can now carry out functions, such as weddings and christenings, with live music and dancing up until 12am.
Tenant Andy Hardy, who also runs The Courthouse in Douglas, originally applied for a public house licence which was refused after local residents raised concerns over noise and people leaving the building at night.
Taking these considerations into account he re-applied for a restaurant licence which was approved in June. However due to the court over running a decision was only passed on allowing the sale of alcohol and allowing background music to be played.
A further hearing took place last week to obtain a decision on whether the restaurant could permit live music and dancing until 12am under section 28 of the licence and this was successful.
Andy said: "We finally got the full licence that we were looking for and the ability to host functions as the magistrates approved what we were asking for. It was a long road but we finally got there."
The restaurant, which is leased out by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture opened at the end of May.
