by isleofman.com 22nd July 2011

WORK will start on reconstructing and resurfacing some of the roads in Port St Mary on Monday.

The pavement and road between Fistard Road and Athol Street will be resurfaced and work will also be carried out to reconstruct the road leading to Queens Place.

The Department of Infrastructure will be operating a one-way traffic system on Queens Road from the Fistard Road/Park Road junction to its junction with Athol Street while this work is being carried out. There will also be a reduced speed limit of 20mph.

Queens Place between Queens Road and Athol Street will be closed for the duration of the works. Access to Seafield Avenue and St Mary's Avenue will also be restricted at times while the work is being carried out.

The department has thanked the public in advance for their patience and cooperation.
